Cultro Distro provides neutral custodial management of domains to ensure that these critical digital assets are secured and responsibly maintained until they are fully integrated into a company’s official portfolio. Unlike domain traders or brokers, we do not exploit or commercialize the domains under our care. Our role is one of protection, compliance, and governance, holding domains strictly on behalf of their rightful legal owners to prevent misuse, reputational risks, or hostile acquisition.

A domain is the unique digital address that allows people to find and access a website on the internet. For example, in www.example.com, the “.com” part is known as the Top-Level Domain (TLD). TLDs can vary depending on their purpose or origin:

• .com – traditionally used for commercial entities, now the most common global extension.

• de., be, .nl etc.– sole country codes, often chosen by businesses or organizations that are primarily active in one country.

• .org, .net, .eu, .io – each has its own association, whether for non-profits, networks, European entities, or technology-driven ventures.

The choice of domain reflects not only brand identity, but also market presence and jurisdiction.

Every domain under custody is managed within a structured governance framework. We maintain clear records of ownership, custody, and decision-making processes, ensuring transparency and traceability. This approach safeguards both the integrity of the asset and the trust of stakeholders.

4. Structured Transfer or Agreement

When the company decides to assume direct ownership, we facilitate a fair and seamless transfer process. Governance principles guide the entire transition, ensuring that legal, technical, and compliance obligations are met. Alternatively, we can arrange a leasing or management agreement, always in line with governance best practice and the long-term objectives of the legal owner.
